Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How far in advance should we book our wedding photographers?
A: As early as possible! There are only so many wedding weekends in our climate, and at the moment we only book one wedding per weekend, so the most popular dates in any year fill quickly. At least 6 to 12 months in advance is typical.
Q: How do we book our wedding date?
A; We require a non-refundable deposit of $1000 (cash or cheque) to hold your date. The deposit secures your date and we do not book any other event that weekend. We also require you to sign our standard contract.
Q: When is the balance due?
A: The balance of the total amount is due on the wedding day. Any additional services or products ordered afterwards are required to be paid in advance, due to the custom nature of the products we provide.
Q: How much time should we plan for the photograph session after the ceremony?
A: We request as much time as possible, but 1.5 hours or more (not including travel time) is comfortable. We've done well with 1 hour and even had some great photos in 30 minutes (they were running late!), but the less stress on your wedding day the better, right?
Q: How many locations do you include?
A: There are only so many hours in a wedding day! Your wedding photography is limited by time, not by the number of locations. Adding locations also adds to your travel time, which eats into the total time for photographs. We suggest choosing one great spot and from there we can find amazing images for you.
Q: How do we accommodate you at the reception?
A: We appreciate being seated for dinner aside from your guests. It's not that we're anti-social (not at all!) but we're up and down shooting and otherwise it interrupts your guests' meals. We also bring a lot of equipment that would be more convenient to have handy and not in the way of your guests.
Q: Are you available for other photographic services?
A: Absolutely yes! We provide a wide variety of on-location photography (i.e. we bring our own studio equipment to your location): family portraits, corporate headshots, special events, product photography, real estate/property. Contact us for more information.
